Maia is a Solicitor Apprentice based in the Bristol office of an international firm. She completed the Level 4 Paralegal Apprenticeship straight after college, qualified as a paralegal, and is now mid-way through the 5 year Level 7 Solicitor Apprenticeship which will allow for full qualification as a solicitor upon completion along with an LLB (Hons). Maia will qualify in 2024. Maia started an Instagram to document her journey to qualification and raise awareness about the apprenticeship route (@mylegalcareer)
Maia studies with BPP Law School and is BPP Apprentice Network Champion for Bristol. Maia is currently in the Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution team and enjoys being involved in contentious work.
Entering a law firm at the early age of 18 means that Maia has gained lots of valuable legal experience; her biggest achievement being playing the role of supervising solicitor in a ‘search and seize’ injunction. Maia attends court regularly, recently helping out with a multi-million pound High Court trial, and has previously sat in on a multi-defendant mediation. Maia is also involved in client-facing tasks and understands the importance of building a network.
